Just after the exotic display of political reformation at the Indian Parliament, here starts a complete new era of fear and uncertainity.Threatening e-mails and varied information provided by media has created panic in all of us.Live bombs being found every 10 minutes you swipe channels.Does these series of discovery indicate the failure of the Indian administration or simply hint that we are longer safe in our homes. We hardly had begun speculating when Shushma Swaraj made her controversial remark, clearly stating that such discoveries were an attempt to divert attention from what happened in the parliament.
her statement may reveal a complete different story. we believe in what the media tells us,we believe in our government, we believe that we are safe their hands,we believe in the powers sf such terrorist organisations to shake our world completly.I believe in a better world tomorrow but today i can no longer see a smile on my friend's faces who are constantly worried about the dangers back home.

those of us who have read the works of Jhumpa Lahiri, will agree to have gone through an experience worth mentioning.The characters and situations are so close to real life.Using middle class sentiments as base she throws you off balance.You are bound to find characters n say 'O she is so much like me'. if you happen to be a bengali then the reading experience will turn out far more exciting. I recently happen to read Un accoustomed Earth and was completly amazed at her power as a writer. Friends its a must read for all of us.

Brechtian theatre or Lok Sabha

If you believe that theatre exists only on stage, you definitely need to think it over again because here comes the perfect combination of drama and reality, courtesy The Great Indian Democracy. For all lovers of art, our constitution provides you with the best possible arena and exposure called the Lok Sabha to showcase yourself as an artist. The lok Sabha can be best understood under the arena of Brechtian theatre, in fact the recent confidence vote revealed that Indian Democracy today showcases every element of the epic theatre.
Towering personality Somnath Chatterjee with god like endurance announces the results of the trust vote to the most awaited dramatic Irony-‘the ayes have it’, the chorus begins and this time it is the Indian national Anthem being sung. So, here we are a democratic India, where we have the right to select our own actors to display their action skills at the centre stage. Though not directors, we are definitely a part of the script. This is not Brechtian or Shakespearean theatre, but our desi theatre with desi masala.Next time if you do manage time to find some time and decide to exercise your franchise and vote remember you are adding another talented actor to join this troupe.
